Steven Assael
Steven Assael was born in 1957 in New York City. He attended the Pratt Institute and presently teaches at The School of Visual Arts and the New York Academy of Art in New York City. The artist’s technique of balancing realism and romanticism, focusing on the human figure either individually or in a group and his use of light and shadow creates an intimate glimpse into the life of the subjects.
