Bo Bartlett was born in 1955 in Columbus, Georgia. He began his artistic training with private studies in Florence, Italy, in 1974. Bartlett continued his studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, graduating in 1981. His paintings are in the American realism style and depict people he knows set in scenes around Georgia and his summer home in Maine.
